Division Leading Mayhem Travel to Chicago to Take on Undefeated Slaughter this Saturday

(Cleveland, OH-April 9, 2009) After taking an exciting overtime win over the previously undefeated Ft. Wayne Freedom last Saturday night, the Marion Mayhem will hit the road this Saturday to take on the Western Division leading Chicago Slaughter.

It has been a good week all around for the Mayhem. After their 39-33 victory over the Freedom, the club swept all three of the CIFL's Player of the Week awards, as quarterback Tavares Woodley was named Offensive Player of the Week, defensive back Bryceson Lawrence was named Defensive Player of the Week, and kicker Eric Schnatz earned the Special Teams Player of the Week. It was the first time in CIFL history that one team has swept all three awards in one week.

What: A Continental Indoor Football League game between the Chicago Slaughter (4-0) and the Marion Mayhem (3-1)

When: Saturday night, April 11th at 8:05PM Eastern

Where: Sears Center, Hoffman Estates, IL

Upcoming Games: After this Saturday's game, the Mayhem will have next weekend off, and will return to action on Saturday, April 25th, when they will travel to Wheeling to face the Wheeling Wildcats.
