Anaheim Storm News Release

Anaheim, CA (February 27, 2004) - Storm goaltender Matt Disher appeared in control Friday night with 47 saves against the Colorado Mammoth. He held league leader Gavin Prout to just two goals for the night.

"Disher was amazing in the goal tonight," said Pat McCabe, Storm head coach. "He stopped more than 75-percent of the shots on goal. He played with his head and his heart."

Still, the Anaheim Storm (0-7) were unable to take the win from Colorado as they advance to 7-2 and remain in first place in the Western Division.

Chris Seller led the Storm with three goals while team captain Casey Powell had one goal and two assists in the game. Several players put single goals up on the board including Richard Morgan (1G, 1A), Chris Panos (1G), Marc Morley (1G), Michael Law (1G).

Gary Gait led the Colorado Mammoth with four goals; Gavin Prout matched Gait's four points with two goals and two assists.

Tomorrow, the Storm and the Mammoth travel to the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado for a 7:00 PM game (local time).

The Storm return home to the Arrowhead Pond next Friday, March 5th, to face the Rochester Knighthawks. It will be the first time the two teams have faced each other in the 2003-2004 regular season.
