Dirt Dawgs Looking for Host Families for Players

LEOMINSTER, Mass. (Wednesday, May, 15, 2013) - The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs are currently looking for host families for the 2013 summer season.

"We are currently looking for families that are willing to open up their home for a few months during the summer," said Scott Lettre, Director of Baseball Operations, "it is a rewarding opportunity and a chance to create a relationship that will last for a lifetime."

One benefit to becoming a host family includes a $300 stipend for every player that you take in your home for the summer. Another benefit is the family season pass that you will receive. This pass is good for all regular season home games for your entire family. Finally, there are many special host family promotions and offers that will happen throughout the season.

Our players come from all over the country to play for the Dirt Dawgs at Doyle Field in Leominster. They are young men who will provide a positive influence not only on your family, but the community as well.

Most of the players week is spent doing baseball activities, and helping out in events around the community.

Host families are expected to provide linens for the bedroom, and access to the shower and laundry. Meals and access to the internet are not required, but will be appreciated by the player. Players are also expected to require their own transportation.

Players are expected to arrive and will be prepared to move in on Saturday, June 1 st .

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs open their season at home on June 6 th at 6:35 p.m.

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs play at historic, and newly renovated, Doyle Field in Leominster, MA and are a 2012 expansion franchise in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. The 2013 season swings into action on June 5 th .
