LEOMINSTER, Mass. (Tuesday, August 6, 2013). John Kinne's (Columbia) two-run single proved to be the difference as the Pittsfield Suns scored five unanswered runs to defeat the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs 5-4.
"Their starting pitcher had us off balance all night," said Scott Lettre, Director of Baseball Operations for Wachusett. "We almost stole this one late, but we'll get them tomorrow.

The Dirt Dawgs (18-30) rallied in the ninth to cut the lead to one, but were unable to capitalize and left the bases loaded to end the game.
