Diesel Plays for Playoff Spot
July 3, 2002 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Tri-City Diesel News Release
Fresh from a fourth consecutive win, a 44-37 edging of Sioux City's Bandits, the Tri-City Diesel can host a first-round playoff game by winning at Lincoln Friday. The Diesel squeaked past the Capitols in the meeting at the Tri-City Arena early in June.
The Diesel, now with a record of seven wins against six losses, is in control of its own destiny in the game with Lincoln. The Capitols sport on overall record of 9-4, but match the Diesel's 5-2 in Pacific Northern Divisional play of the NIFL. The winner of the final game of the regular season will automatically advance to the playoff game.
The game this Friday, the 5th, begins at 7:30 in Lincoln's Pershing Auditorium.
