Devil Rays to have big announcement at big event

The Southwest Michigan Devil Rays will celebrate Game 3 of the 2005 World Series at what is being called, simply, the BIG announcement at the BIG event, on Tuesday, October 25, from 7:30 p.m. until the completion of the game at Burnham Brook in Battle Creek, Mich.

The Devil Rays will present a party-type atmosphere for all sponsors, season-ticket holders, fans and any interested people who want to learn about becoming a Devil Rays partner in 2006. Live music, food and beverages, and Game 3 of the World Series on three big screen TVs will highlight the BIG event as Southwest Michigan staff and Ivy Walls Management staff, featuring COO Alan Stein, will speak during the night. Devil Rays mascot Doodle will be up to his old tricks, local band Streetsmart will perform before the game and bring the kids to along to play on the Devil Rays own inflatable amusements. Attendees will also be able to see footage of the 2000 Midwest League Champion Battle Cats and other assorted baseball video.

"This type of event is a great way to thank our fans and sponsors for the support they showed in 2005," Devil Rays GM Martie Cordaro said. "With our 2006 schedule announced last week, we are working hard to ensure that 2006 is the best season ever at C.O. Brown Stadium!"

The BIG announcement will come prior to the beginning of World Series Game 3. A pre-party meet and greet will begin at 5:30 p.m. for all Battle Creek Chamber of Commerce members and families.
