
Devil Rays and Dow Team Up For Area Kids

The Southwest Michigan Devil Rays are pleased to announce today the 2006 Project Kids program will be presented by The Dow Chemical Company.
"We're thrilled to have The Dow Chemical Company on board with us for our single most important community initiative," states Martie Cordaro, General Manager of the Southwest Michigan Devil Rays. "There wouldn't be a Project Kids in 2006 if it weren't for The Dow Chemical Company. They stepped up to the plate and hit a home run."
Project Kids is dedicated to providing at-risk and needs-based kids in the area with the opportunity to cheer on The Southwest Michigan Devil Rays. Each child attending will receive a game ticket and a meal (hot dog, soda & chips). Each chaperon will receive a game ticket courtesy of the Devil Rays. Fifteen hundred tickets and meals will be available on a first-come, first served basis.
"The Dow Chemical Company is proud to be the 2006 sponsor of the Project Kids program," adds Terri Johnson, Public Affairs Leader for The Dow Chemical Company. "Providing this opportunity for kids to come to the ball park and have a great time watching baseball and all the entertainment that comes with it is what is it all about."
Project Kids, presented by The Dow Chemical Company, is open only to non-profit agencies. Tickets can be reserved by calling Valisa Maki at the Devil Rays office at (269) 660-2287.
