Detroit Shock News Release

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - The Detroit Shock, in their continuing effort to give back to fans and the community, would like to show their support in these tough economic times by presenting a special offer to Michigan's sports and entertainment fans this Labor Day Weekend. The Shock are offering 2,000 FREE general admission tickets to this Friday's Eastern Conference match-up against the Indiana Fever at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

"This year, a lot of people will be around for the holiday weekend," said Detroit Shock Chief Operating Officer, Craig Turnbull. "This is a great chance for people that haven't made it out to The Palace for a game yet this season."

Beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, those interested can go to DetroitShock.com to request their free tickets for Friday's game. There is a five-ticket limit per person.

The defending champion Shock have won five of their last six games and are in the midst of a late season push towards the WNBA playoffs in hopes of repeating as WNBA champions - what would be their fourth Championship in the past seven years.

You don't have to be homebodies this Labor Day Weekend, come experience the electric atmosphere of a Detroit Shock basketball game right here in Auburn Hills!

The Friday Eastern Conference showdown begins at 7:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
