Detroit Shock Single-Game Tickets On Sale Wednesday

Auburn Hills, Mich. - The Detroit Shock announced today that single-game tickets to the team's 10th season of WNBA competition will go on sale Wednesday, April 4 at noon and may be purchased in person at The Palace Box Office, by calling (248) 377-0100, logging on to www.DetroitShock.com or at all Ticketmaster outlets.
Fans who purchase tickets from April 4-13 will be eligible to win one of 10 exclusive prizes in the Shock 10th Season On-Sale Contest.
1. Be on court during championship banner raising ceremony on May 19
2. Participate in the championship ring ceremony on May 19
3. Play a game of H-O-R-S-E with a Shock player
4. Receive an autographed Shock team basketball
5. Receive an autographed player jersey
6. Utilize the President's seats (4) for a Shock game
7. Receive a VIP upgrade for a Shock game
8. Sit with TV broadcast team for one quarter of a Shock TV broadcast
9. Meet the Shock during a postgame Meet & Greet
10. Be a ball kid during a Shock game
Fans can also enter to win by sending a letter with their name, mailing address, phone number and e-mail address to Detroit Shock 10th Season On-Sale Contest, Palace of Auburn Hills, 5 Championship Dr., Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Winners will be chosen the week of April 15.
The Shock begins defense of its 2006 WNBA Championship on May 19 at The Palace Of Auburn Hills in a nationally televised WNBA Finals rematch with the Sacramento Monarchs. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. The Shock will also raise its 2006 WNBA championship banner and present players, coaches and one lucky fan with their championship rings during pre-game ceremonies.
Other highlights of the Shock home schedule include two games featuring the biggest rivalry in the WNBA - Connecticut vs. Detroit - on Friday, June 15 at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, June 27 at 7:30 p.m.; a Sunday, July 8 meeting at 6:00 p.m. with Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury; and Sheryl Swoopes and the Houston Comets in the home finale on Tuesday, August 14 at 7:30 p.m.
