"The All-You-Can-Eat concept has been well received in several other sports arenas and stadiums," said Craig Turnbull, Detroit Shock COO. "Each year we add a few new elements and, with the success that other markets have had with this promotion, we think it's a natural for the Shock. If fans enjoy it, we hope to continue for the entire season." Also this season, the Shock will feature Family Nights on Opening Day and for every Sunday home game. The $59 package includes four lower level tickets, a $20 Palace gift card and a family photo on the Shock court. Sunday home games will also feature a post-game on-court shot for kids 14 and under and many other family-friendly activities. The Shock home opener is scheduled for Sunday, May 17 when they host the Houston Comets for a 3:30 p.m. matinee game. In June, the Seattle Storm, with former Shock all-star Swin Cash come to The Palace on the 4th.
