Columbus Destroyers News Release
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Destroyers along with 92.3 WCOL and Mountain Dew recently conducted an on-air radio contest to select one special fan who experienced the proverbial "15 minutes of fame," the phenomenon identified and made famous by the late Andy Warhol. Fans will be introduced to the WCOL listener who shared the most unique and humorous story when the Destroyers host the New York Dragons on Huntington Field at Nationwide Arena on Friday, April 14 at 7 p.m. During the game, the winner will enjoy an additional "15 minutes" by participating in nearly every in-game promotion and on-field contest, starring in a specially produced video recreating the "famous" experience that will be shown on the videoboard and taking part in the post-game, on-field autograph session presented by Nationwide.
Before the Destroyers wrap up their regular-season home schedule against the Tampa Bay Storm on Saturday, May 6 at 7 p.m., fans are encouraged to come down early to enjoy the Rooster's Wing Bash, a pre-game party featuring live entertainment, Rooster's wings and Bud Light on the McConnell Street Plaza. In addition, Dispatch/Mix 97.1 Family Game packages are available for the final home game. This special package includes four game tickets, four Sugardale hot dogs, four Pepsis, four popcorns, one foam football, and four Dispatch Ice Haus skate passes. Packages starting at just $64 are available by visiting www.ColumbusDestroyers.com or calling (614) 246-HITS.
Fans are invited to visit The Blue Jackets Bistro before, during and after every home game for great food and drink specials. The Bistro, located outside section 118, opens two hours before kickoff and features Rooster's wings along with beer specials from Anheuser Busch.
Individual tickets starting at $10 may be purchased at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, at all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, or by phone at (614) 431-3600. Tickets are also available at the Blue Jackets Zones located at Chiller Dublin, Chiller Easton and Chiller North. All tickets are subject to service charges and facility fees. In addition, high school and college students (23 years and under) with a valid student ID may purchase a specially priced $7 ticket beginning two hours before each home game at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office only.
