
Destroyers clinch playoff berth in 74-43 victory over Dragons

UNIONDALE, New York - The Columbus Destroyers, presented by Germain, have qualified for the Mitsubishi Motors Drive to ArenaBowl XXI Playoffs with a 74-43 victory over the New York Dragons Saturday night.
This marks the Destroyers first playoff since the team moved to Columbus from Buffalo. The last playoff appearance was a Buffalo Destroyers team that qualified with a 6-8 record in 2002. The Destroyers will take their third run at the Foster Cup in franchise history beginning next week.
The Destroyers will enter as the sixth seeded team in the National Conference. They will face the National Conference's third seed the Tampa Bay Storm (9-7) at St. Pete Times Forum on Saturday, June 30 with kickoff set for Noon (ET). The game will be broadcast live on the Destroyers Radio Network and flagship station WINK 107.1 FM with the pre-game show beginning at 11:30 a.m. (ET).
