DALLAS, Texas - The Dallas Desperados released OL/DL James Cannida today, ending a three-year stay with the team.
Cannida concluded his Desperados career with 14.5 tackles, two sacks, one pass breakup, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in 20 games played. His best season came in 2006 when he played in 16 games, totaling 11.5 tackles, two sacks, two tackles for loss, one pass breakup, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
He played in only one game during the 2007 season due to injury.
The Dallas Desperados open the 2008 season in a nationally televised game on ABC at the Georgia Force on March 1 at 12 p.m.
