
Desperados Clinch Playoff Berth

NEW YORK - The Dallas Desperados (10-1) became the first team in the 2007 season to clinch a playoff berth with their 52-48 victory over defending ArenaBowl XX champion and Central Division leading Chicago Rush (8-2) as the Mitsubishi Motors Drive to ArenaBowl XXI New Orleans officially hits the highway.
Dallas, who leads the Eastern Division, holds the League's best record and will travel to face division rival Columbus (6-4) on Saturday, May 26 at 7 p.m. ET (Columbus Sports Net - Live, AFL NET). The Desperados overcame a 30-point deficit to defeat the Destroyers, 53-51, on a 16-yard field goal by K TODD SIEVERS as time expired during their first meeting on April 5. Columbus is currently on a five-game home winning streak while Dallas is 4-1 on the road.
