In all, Desmarais scored 91 goals and produced 187 points in 202 career junior games.

Desmarais joins Obi Aduba, Phil Axtell, David Brown, Mike Byrd, Nick DeCroo, Dustin DeGagne, Jason Dolgy, Mark Ehl, Joel Gasper, Eric Giosa, Mike Hartwick, Pat Inglis, David Inman, Tyler Kindle, Kirill Kitsyn, Jason Kostadine, Patrik Levesque, Shane Lovdahl, Brandon Marino, Maxime Mathieu, Mike McLean, Darren McMillan, Greg Moore, Omar Pacha, Ryan Palmer, Zach Pearson, Jason Reese, Michel Robinson and Tyler Townsend to bring the number of players on the Mallards' preseason roster to 30.

The Mallards will open training camp next Monday. The Flock will raise the curtain on its first CHL regular season on home ice Saturday, October 16, at 7:05 p.m. against the Odessa Jackalopes.
