Denver's Garett Bembridge Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (December 2, 2013) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Denver Cutthroats forward Garett Bembridge has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending December 8, 2013.

The league's leading goal scorer added four more to his slate last week scoring two goals in each Cutthroats contest. Bembridge scored both Denver goals in a 3-2 shootout loss on Friday night with his second coming in the final minutes of the third period securing a point for his team. On Saturday, the Melfort, Saskatchewan native once again started the scoring and once again ended it with an empty-net strike giving him six multiple-goal games this season.

Bembridge has scored 20 goals in 21 games this season and is also tied for the league lead with 34 points (20-14=34). He is also at the top of the league with seven power play goals, 117 shots on goal and four game winning goals.
