Tijuana Dragons News Release

Tijuana, MX. General Manager Andrew Ditto and ABA Tijuana Dragons Team owner Carlos Atilano today announced that they have signed NBA all time great rebounder and star Dennis Rodman to play for the Dragons for the 2005-2006 season. Ditto stated, "While we are sure that Dennis will help us generate fan support from both San Diego and Tijuana, another reason he was signed is because he can still play at a high level and will still be a dominating factor under the boards. He is like George Foreman and Julio Franco - timeless. And of course he will help the ABA and the team get more national support and attention that we deserve. All compelling reasons and we are thrilled to have him as part of the team."

Atilano added, "We have also signed 2005 ABA All-Star Derek Stevens from Colorado State. His great physical condition and speed to match his shooting ability should help us get to where we need to be. We have also named Robert Don Lee to be our Head Coach. He was the all time leading scorer at SUU University."

Lee commented, "The team intends to surround these great players with more great players and hope that our Free Agent camp on November 1st in San Diego will draw some top talent including those who want to run the fast break with a Rodman outlet pass."

The team has its radio, TV and newspaper publicity set. If you are a great player and want to play for a great team, you should be in San Diego on November 1st. Call GM Andrew Ditton at 801 891 7255 or email tijuanadragons@aol.com. Andrew will pick up players all day Tuesday at the airport, bus terminal or train station. Tijuana is searching for the best - and positions are available. The tryout fee is only $50. For more information, visit www.abalive.com.
