Dayton Demonz News Release
DAYTON, OH - The walls of Hara Arena will once again, this winter, reverberate with the unmistakable chant of "Foooooouz!" The Dayton Demonz Professional Hockey Club announced today that last season's Federal Hockey League (FHL) and Demonz MVP, Ahmed Mahfouz, has re-signed with the team for the 2013-2014 season. Mahfouz, an undeniable fan-favorite and fiery 5'11", 190lb Forward, hails from Ottawa, Ontario. Prior to joining the Demonz, he played 2 seasons in the Tier 1 CHL for The Nepean Raiders and Pembroke LumberKings and also played the 2011-2012 season with the FHL Champion Akwasasne Warriors.
In 48 games played for the Demonz last season, Mahfouz scored a total of 111 points with 48 goals and 63 assists. Demonz Head Coach and former teammate, Trevor Karasiewicz, had this to say regarding Mahfouz; "Fouz is a huge piece to the puzzle. He was the first player I contacted to get a deal done. I played with him on a line last year and he burns [with] intensity and wants to win every time he is on the ice. I look for Fouz to have another great year and to be a leader on and off the ice. He is a great player and a great guy. I look for huge things from Fouz. Fear the beard!"
