
FHL Hockey Returns to Hara for the 2015-16 Season

The Federal Hockey League is proud to announce the return of the Dayton franchise for the 2015-16 at Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio. Dayton is coming off a 2nd place finish and a 38-win season. Dayton was eliminated in the 1st round of the playoffs by the Danville Dashers. The club won the FHL Championship in 2013-14 defeating the then defending FHL Champion Danbury Whalers.
Dayton will play a 56 game schedule. Following the regular season, there will be a 2nd round playoff with the eventual champion being crowned in a best of 5 series.
In the coming weeks the team will be releasing information on ticket packages & pricing, fundraising opportunities, sponsorship, and the Head Coach.
Dayton, Ohio is the most populated city in the Federal Hockey League and also features the leagues largest building with a 5,000 seat capacity at Hara Arena.
Karen Wampler, Director of Marketing at Hara Arena, commented "With the return of professional hockey, the upsurge in the Dayton Stealth and Megacity hockey programs, and the anticipated renovations at Hara, we're looking to see Dayton hockey, both amateur and professional, reach new levels in the coming years. "
With Dayton, Danville (IL), and the newly announced Port Huron (MI) franchise, the Midwestern bracket of the FHL is positioned for a fantastic geographical rivalry.

FHL Commissioner, Don Kirnan stated, "Dayton has been a strong growing market for our league. Each year there are more fans at Hara Arena and with the two other Midwest teams we've got an opportunity to develop it further."
Entering its 6th season of operation, the Federal Hockey League is one of six professional leagues in the United States. The FHL has promoted over 150 players to various other professional leagues including the AHL, ECHL, CHL, & European Leagues. The FHL currently has teams located in Danbury (CT), Berkshire (MA), Dayton (OH), Watertown (NY), Danville (IL), Port Huron (MI), and Berlin (NH).
