
de Swardt Participating in Dallas Stars' Development Camp

WENATCHEE, Wash. - The Wenatchee Wild is pleased to announce that Armand de Swardt, one of the team's top forwards last season, has been invited to participate in the Dallas Stars' 2010 Development Camp.
The camp, which began on Thursday, will run daily through July 7. Held at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco, Texas, more than 30 of the Dallas Stars' top prospects are participating in the camp, according to the team's Web site. Among those attending the camp are goaltender Jack Campbell, the Stars' first-round selection in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, and forward Scott Glennie, the Stars' first-round selection in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
De Swardt collected 29 points (10G, 19A) in 39 regular-season games with the Wild in 2009-10. He finished the regular season with a plus/minus rating of plus-14 and was named the Sherwood/NAHL West Player of the Week on March 8 after he scored two goals and three assists in a two-game series against Wichita Falls.
De Swardt elevated his game during the 2010 Robertson Cup playoffs, scoring five goals and three assists (8 points) in 10 games, including two game-winning goals. A native of Dallas, Texas, de Swardt will continue his career at Cornell University in the fall.
