Dayton Dutch Lions News Release
DAYTON, OH - After a grueling road trip south and east, the Dayton Dutch Lions (7-6-7) return home to meet the Antigua Barracudas (0-21-0) on Friday, July 28th, at 7:00 pm in the Miami Valley Hospital Stadium in Beavercreek. With six games remaining in the regular season schedule, Dayton is determined to overcome its recent slump, and is preparing for what is a usually physical match up against the Caribbean team. The Antigua Barricudas, while last in the league, are dangerous in their quest for a win and Dayton looks to fire up while staying healthy for the balance of the season.
With their tough travel schedule behind them, Dayton hopes to secure a spot in the USL Pro playoffs, a first for the team since its inclusion into the league in 2011. Dayton captain Joel DeLass sets the bar high with consistently strong performances, having played every moment of league competition to this point. With his leadership and the strength of his Dayton teammates, the Dutch Lions have broken several club records and are looking to establish a couple of club "firsts" before the USL Pro 2013 season ends.
Dayton meets the Rochester Rhinos (3-8-10) the following Friday, August 2 at Sahlen's Stadium, and then returns home to face the Wilimington Hammerheads at 6:30 on Sunday August 4th in Miami Valley Hospital Stadium. For season and individual game tickets, visit the Dutch Lions website.
