Dayton Dutch Lions News Release
DAYTON, Ohio - The Dayton Dutch Lions FC (3-8-2, 11 points) is travelling to Rochester to play the Rhinos for the third time this season. The first game ended in a 1-1 tie, the second game in a 1-0 win for the Rhinos. Both games were in Dayton. The Lions are coming off a big win in Arizona after a 5 game losing streak and look to continue their momentum. The Rochester Rhinos on the other hand picked up a big win on Tuesday when they advanced to the fifth round of the US Open Cup beating Washington DC 1-0.
Head Coach Sid van Druenen commented on the upcoming game: "After a good win in Arizona and last weekend off, the boys should have the confidence to turn the season around. A win in Rochester on Friday will put us back in a play-offs position and that's been our focus from the beginning. We've played them twice before this season and both games were very close. I expect this one to be a close again and I hope we can bring the three points back to Dayton."
After the game the Lions return to DOC Stadium to play current leader Orlando Lions on Sunday June 22 at 3.00pm due to the world cup games later that day.
