Davidson Promoted

CONYERS, GA - The South Coast League of Professional Baseball is pleased to announce the promotion of Kevin Davidson to Coordinator of Baseball Operations. Davidson, who has been with the company since October of 2006, had previously held the title of Director of Media Relations.
"Kevin has displayed a strong work ethic that has not gone unnoticed and he has earned this opportunity," said SCL Chief Operating Officer Chris Allen. "His organizational skills are second to none and he will be an integral part in carrying our baseball operations department to new heights."
In his new role, he will act as a liaison for the players and managers in dealing with day to day issues. During the off-season, he will play a vital role in organizing tryout camps, hiring player personnel and officials, and overseeing the baseball operations department from the league level.
"It's not everyday that you get an opportunity to be a part of starting a baseball league," said Davidson. "The challenges and adversity we face every day at the league office really put things into perspective, and I'm thankful to be working for a quality organization like the SCL."
Before joining the South Coast League, Davidson spent a season with Baseball Info Solutions, a sports statistics and data collection firm in northeast Pennsylvania. He also worked for the North Adams SteepleCats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, a summer wooden bat league team in western Massachusetts.
Davidson graduated from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts with a degree in Communications / Sports Journalism. A four year letter winner in baseball for the Pride, he brings a first hand knowledge and passion of the game to the workplace.
