
David Accam Called up for International Duty

CHICAGO (March 24, 2015) - David Accam has been selected by Ghanaian National Team head coach Avram Grant for Ghana's upcoming international friendlies against Senegal on March 27 at Stade Océane in Le Havre, France and the March 31 contest against Mali at Stade Sébastien Charléty in Paris.
A native of Accra, Ghana, Accam most recently represented Ghana in the 2015 African Cup of Nations and earned his first cap against Senegal on Jan. 19, 2015.
Accam, who signed a Designated Player contract with the Fire on Dec. 19, 2014, made his debut for the Men in Red on Sunday, March 22 in a road match against the San Jose Earthquakes, featuring in the second half.
Accam is scheduled to depart on Tuesday evening and will miss the Fire's home match against the Philadelphia Union at Toyota Park on Sunday, March 29 at 4 p.m. CT (ESPN2/ESPN Deports 97.5 FM).
