Danbury Whalers Home Tonight

January 6, 2012 - Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL)
Danbury Whalers News Release

The Whalers take on the FHL Defending Champion Akwesasne Warriors led by former Montreal Canadien, Pierre Dagenais.

It is a fundraising night for the Danbury Westerners & the Girl Scouts of Connecticut.

The Danbury Westerners are members New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) and play their games at Rogers Park in Danbury.

The Westerners roster consists of the top collegiate players throughout the country. These are the futures stars of the game, right here in our very own backyard. Over the years, they have had numerous players drafted (over 40) and have had a handful of former players reach the Major Leagues.

Since the Danbury Whalers announced their team on 12/29/09, the two organizations have formed a very strong partnership with each team hosting a game during the other team's season.

On Friday at the Danbury Ice Arena, fans will have a chance to meet members of the Westerners organization and get ticket information for the upcoming 2012 season.

Tickets are $5 for adults and kids under 12 are free.

Don't let another summer go by without showing your kids what baseball is supposed to be like. Playing for the love of the game, all made possible by people who love the game just as much.
