Dan Dawson Moved to Active Roster
January 27, 2023 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Toronto Rock News Release
Oakville, ON - Toronto Rock Owner, President, and GM Jamie Dawick announced several roster moves earlier today in preparation for Saturday's game in Calgary against the Roughnecks.
Rock forward Dan Dawson, who was sidelined last week with a lower body injury, has been moved to the Active Roster from the Injured Reserve List. Also being moved to the Active Roster is Practice Roster defender Jordan McKenna.
Rookie forward Josh Dawick was placed on the Practice Roster after picking up an assist in his NLL debut last weekend in the Rock's 14-5 win over Philadelphia.
Toronto defender Josh Jubenville was placed on the NLL's suspended list. In the Rock's January 14 win over Halifax, Jubenville was given a major penalty for boarding. After the league's supplementary discipline review, the NLL changed the major penalty to a match penalty which carries an automatic one game suspension. The NLLPA appealed the suspension last week which allowed Jubenville to play against Philadelphia. This week, the NLLPA withdrew their appeal and Jubenville will serve the one-game suspension on Saturday when the Rock face the Roughnecks.
Saturday's game is the NLL Game of the Week on TSN at 9pm ET. The game is also available to be streamed on TSN+ on TSN's digital platforms.
