New York Riptide to Host Hometown Heroes Night on Saturday, January 28 at Nassau Coliseum

Long Island, NY - The New York Riptide will be hosting Hometown Heroes Night on Saturday, January 28 when the Riptide host the Buffalo Bandits at Nassau Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. Heroes serving in the military, veterans, law enforcement personnel, police officers, firefighters and first responders will be honored during the game and throughout the evening.
"Our organization is deeply honored to have our community heroes serving on the front lines keeping us safe and healthy with us on Saturday night at the Coliseum," said Rich Lisk, General Manager and EVP, New York Riptide. "Both our team and fans look forward to saluting them and their unwavering contributions to our community and country."
Riptide players and coaches also serve as heroes in their communities; players Damon Edwards and Matt Marinier are firefighters; and head coach Dan Ladouceur and assistant coach Pat Jones serve on a police force.
Warrior Ranch Foundation, an organization that works with veterans using Equine assisted therapy to reduce symptoms of PTSD, will have over 15 veterans being honored on the floor of the Nassau Coliseum. Proceeds of the 50/50 raffle for this match will be donated to Never Forget Lacrosse, honoring heroes in the community using the vehicle of lacrosse.
