Dallas Jackals Unveils 2024 Season Schedule

Arlington, TX - The 2024 Major League Rugby schedule was announced today with the Dallas Jackals first game being at home on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 3:00 pm CST against the Miami Sharks. The Jackals then travel to Houston to face-off against in-state rival Houston SaberCats on March 16th. The Jackals take-on the SaberCats twice this season, including a dramatic 11th round matchup at home on Saturday, May 11, 2024. MLR's 2023 Champions, New England Free Jacks, will visit Arlington on Saturday, March 23rd.

The 2024 season marks the 7th for the league and the third season for the Dallas Jackals. The season will feature 8 home and 8 road matches with bye weeks in Rounds 1 and 9. The home schedule includes two Friday, two Sunday and four Saturday matches. Friday and Saturday home matches will begin at 7:30 pm. All regular season home matches will be played on the Jackals' home pitch, Choctaw Stadium, the former home of the Texas Rangers.

In 2023, Major League Rugby experienced an 18% surge in fan attendance, adding an average of 2,600 fans in stadiums, and a 70% increase in subscribers for the MLR's digital media platform, boasting over 170,000 new subscribers.
