Dallas Jackals Inaugural Opening Day Highest Attended 2022 MLR Match

History was made Saturday, February 19, 2022 as the first ever professional rugby match was played in the DFW Metroplex. The Dallas Jackals took on the Houston SaberCats at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, TX in front of the highest attendance of any 2022 MLR match thus far, 3,152.

Even with temperatures dropping after sunset, the fans, known as the Pack, came out strong and proud to watch the Jackals first home turf battle. The stands were lively and buzzing with the excitement of this history making moment.

The action on the pitch was non-stop, fast paced, and beyond memorable with the Pack scoring five Tries and leading most of the match. Houston came back with two late runs to take the win in post-full time.

Despite the outcome, the Jackals showed true heart and the exciting play that the fans and league can expect this year and into the future.
