
Dallas' Dolezel, Pettis, And Orlando's White Earn Week 15 Honors

NEW YORK - Dallas Desperados QB CLINT DOLEZEL, Orlando Predators DL GREG WHITE, and Desperados WR/DB WILL PETTIS have been named Offensive Player, ADT Defensive Player, and Ironman of the Week, respectively, for Week 15 of the 2007 season.
OFFENSIVE: Dolezel (6-5, 205, East Texas St.) completed 33-of-41 passes for 386 yards and 11 touchdowns as the Desperados (13-1) defeated the New Orleans VooDoo (4-10), 80-79, on Saturday. Dolezel led Dallas to scores on 12 of the team's 13 possessions, including two separate streaks of five and six drives with consecutive touchdown passes compiling the highest passer rating of Week 15 (145.5) in the process. It's the third time Dolezel has tied the single-game touchdown record with 11 touchdown passes. Dallas hosts Mitsubishi Motors Eastern Division rival New York (5-9) on Saturday, June 16, at 8:30 p.m. ET (FSN Southwest - Live, FSN New York - SDD, 6/17, at 11:30 p.m. ET)
ADT DEFENSIVE: White (6-3, 285, Minnesota) registered two tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, one pass defensed, and one blocked field goal as the Predators (8-6) defeated the New York Dragons (5-9), 75-54, on Saturday. White's pass defense and field-goal block came on the fifth and sixth plays of the game, and prevented the Dragons from scoring on their first possession. On New York's final drive of the first half, White sacked Dragons QB ROHAN DAVEY, forced a fumble and made a tackle for loss during a goal line stand holding the Dragons to just 19 first half points. Orlando next hosts Southern Division rival Georgia (12-2) on Friday, June 15, at 7:30 p.m. ET (FSN South - Live, SUN Sports - Live, SIRIUS Radio Channel 119).
IRONMAN: Pettis (6-0, 200, Midwestern St.) recorded a team-high 11 receptions for 123 yards and two touchdowns on offense while registering four tackles on defense along with 145 kickoff return yards on special teams as the Dallas Desperados (13-1) defeated the New Orleans VooDoo (4-10), 80-79, on Saturday. Pettis' first touchdown reception put Dallas ahead 14-7 while his second put the Desperados on top, 66-59, with 2:06 seconds remaining in the game. Pettis scored a two-point conversion that put Dallas ahead by seven with 14 seconds remaining in the game.
Offensive Player of the Week candidates included: Georgia QB Chris Greisen and WR Troy Bergeron, Kansas City QB Raymond Philyaw, San Jose QB Mark Grieb, Tampa Bay QB Brett Dietz, Nashville FB/LB Dan Alexander, Chicago WR Bobby Sippio, and Los Angeles WR/LB Rob Turner.
ADT Defensive Player of the Week candidates included: Chicago WR/DB Russell Shaw and DB DeJuan Alfonzo, Dallas WR/LB Chris Brown, Kansas City OL/DL BJ Cohen, Georgia DB Reggie Doster, Los Angeles DB Eddie Canonico and OL/DL Jason Stewart.
Ironman of the Week candidates included: Dallas WR/DB Andrae Thurman, Tampa Bay WR/DB Lawrence Samuels, Nashville DB Ahmad Hawkins, Orlando FB/LB Marlon Moye-Moore, and San Jose FB/LB George Williams.
