BURN AT METROSTARS SATURDAY AT 6:30 P.M.

The Burn will hit the road for only the second time this season as they travel to Giants Stadium to face the red-hot MetroStars on Saturday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. (CT). The MetroStars are currently leading the Eastern Conference with a 4-1-1 record for 13 points and have won four consecutive matches. The Burn, meanwhile, are still searching for their first victory of the season after a 1-1 draw vs. Los Angeles last weekend. Dallas currently sits in fourth place in the West with a 0-2-3 record for three points.

THE SERIES

The Burn leads the all-time series vs. the MetroStars 10-8-0...the Burn took three of the four meetings between the two clubs last year...the Metros' 3-1 victory at Dallas last September snapped a Burn four-game winning streak against the MetroStars...Dallas has currently won two straight games at Giants Stadium, winning 2-1 last May and 3-1 last August...Jason Kreis has ten goals and six assists for 26 points in 18 career games vs. the Metros...Clint Mathis has scored eight goals and added one assist for 17 points against the Burn in just six games with the MetroStars.

KREIS ONE GOAL SHY OF SECOND ALL-TIME IN LEAGUE HISTORY

Burn forward Jason Kreis, who became only the third player in league history to amass 80 career goals with a strike vs. New England on April 26, is just one goal shy of moving into a tie for second place all-time in the league goal-scoring table. Kreis currently has 81 career goals, one back of Raul Diaz Arce and just six behind Roy Lassiter's all-time league leading total of 88. Kreis also currently ranks second all-time in the league in points with 224, eight back of Preki.

SUAREZ OUT FOR SATURDAY'S MATCH

Burn defender Ryan Suarez will serve a one-game suspension this weekend after receiving two yellow cards in last Saturday's match vs. Los Angeles. Suarez had played every minute of every game this season prior to the ejection.

DEFENDER MATT BEHNCKE ON "INSIDE SOCCER" THURSDAY

After a successful five-weeks of remotes at the Trail Dust Steak House at Grapevine Mills Mall, "Inside Soccer" returns to the studio this week. Defender Matt Behncke will be the in-studio guest on this Thursday's edition at 6:00 p.m. on Fox Sports 1190 AM.

SUAREZ TO READ TO CHILDREN AS PART OF BURN 'N LEARN PROGRAM

Burn defender Ryan Suarez will read to children on Tuesday, May 20 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Mi Escuelita Preschool at 4031 West Clarendon in Dallas. Suarez's appearance is part of the Burn 'n Learn Program, an initiative with the goal of stressing the importance of students to stay in school and to also encourage Dallas residents to play a role in the education of students by becoming a DISD volunteer or mentor.
