
Crew Continues to Add Notable Players

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Friday, May 19) - Columbus Crew President/General Manager Jim Smith announced today the completion of five new partnership agreements for the 2003 Major League Soccer season.
BP, Graeter's Ice Cream, John Morrell & Co., Kohl's Department Stores and Nutritional Sciences have all joined The Crew's growing list of corporate partners.
"We are extremely pleased to add these partners to our growing list of corporate support," said Smith. "These relationships demonstrate our commitment to developing beneficial marketing solutions for each of our corporate clients, while reaching a highly desirable family audience."
BP and Graeter's Ice Cream are returning for their second straight year with The Crew. Both will feature team themed in-store promotions.
BP and Crew Cornerstone Partner Pepsi have established a summer scratch and win sweepstakes that will reach an estimated 1.2 million people in central Ohio via 54 BP and BP Connect locations. Contest winners will receive BP and Pepsi products, along with Crew merchandise. The grand-prize winner will receive a trip for two to the 2003 Pepsi MLS All-Star Game on August 2nd at the Los Angeles Galaxy's new soccer-specific stadium, The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
Graeter's will receive in-stadium signage and product placement via Aramark Entertainment, Columbus Crew Stadium's concessionaire. The 11 central Ohio Graeter's Ice Cream locations will also feature monthly drawings for Crew tickets and giveaways.
John Morrell, Kohl's and Nutritional Sciences are all new partners for the Columbus Crew. The new partners will receive the "Official" designation within their respective categories. In addition, each deal includes stadium signage, merchandising and promotional elements.
