Daavettila Shares Plus-Performer of the Year

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders and American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announce forward Trent Daavettila is the co-recipient the Reebok ECHL Plus Performer of the Year.

Daavettila, who finished the season at plus-28, shares the honor with Greenville's Brendan Connelly. Named the Plus-Performer for the Month of February, Daavettila finished the year strong going plus-24 in the final 19 games of the regular season.

Named to the Second-Team All-ECHL last week, Daavettila led the K-Wings in assists with 48 and tied Kory Karlander for the team-lead in scoring with 80 points.

Kalamazoo will begin the Kelly Cup Playoffs tomorrow, Tuesday, April 5th with a 7:30 p.m. encounter against the Florida Everblades in Game One of the Best-of-Five Series.

The K-Wings will return home for game-three of the series this Friday, April 8th with a 7:30 p.m. face-off at Wings Stadium.

Single-game tickets for all Eastern Conference Quarterfinal home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office.
