FARMAR TIMES TWO: Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Farmar became the first player to play in an NBA D-League and an NBA game in the same day on Sunday at the STAPLES Center. Assigned to the Lakers affiliate on Saturday night, Farmar played 41 minutes, scored 18 points, had six assists and three steals for the D-Fenders in an afternoon loss to Anaheim. Recalled by the Lakers following that game, he came off the Lakers bench to score four points and grab four rebounds in nearly eight minutes in a win over Sacramento Sunday night.
THEY SAID IT: "It could be good for me. It felt good to get out there. You can work all day at the practice facility, but it's not the same." Los Angeles Lakers rookie guard Jordan Farmar told the Los Angeles Times about being assigned to the D-Fenders for Sunday's game against Anaheim.
WITH AN "E": While Lakers/D-Fenders guard Jordan FarmAR stole the headlines Sunday; it was Tulsa guard Desmon FarmER who was putting up the numbers. Farmer scored 31 and made 12-of-22 FGA in a 66ers win over Eastern Division-leading Dakota. He has scored 124 points (31.0 pg) over his last four games, besting the 30-point peak three times.
