OUTHOUSE TO PENTHOUSE: Los Angeles guard Brian Chase has gone from the outhouse to the penthouse in his D-League experience. Chase was released by the Roanoke Dazzle after three days of training camp on Nov. 11, 2004. On Feb. 17, 2007 he will pull on his uniform as a member of the D-League Western Division All-Star Team.

ALL-STAR SATURDAY: The inaugural Gillette D-League All-Star Game in association with 24 Hour Fitness is scheduled for Saturday Feb. 17 on Center Court at NBA All-Star Jam Session at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Tip off is scheduled for 2 p.m. PT, immediately following the practices for the NBA All-Stars. The game will air live on NBA TV. Click on D-LEAGUE.com for more details.

-Fifteen (15) players and six referees with D-League connections were in uniform for seven NBA games.
-Devin Brown (FAY) started and recorded 11 points and three rebounds in 26 minutes for the Hornets.
-Matt Carroll (ROA) started, scoring 12 points and grabbing four rebounds in 25 minutes for the Bobcats.
-Rafer Alston (MOB) started, scored 14, had eight assists and nine steals in 41 minutes for Houston.

THEY SAID IT: "I just think, 'How many people do I know that play pro basketball? 'Not many. I'm in a better situation than people think. I'm right there. I'm knocking on the door of the NBA. " ... Bakersfield guard Gerry McNamara told the New York Post about playing in the NBA D-League.
