WHERE THERE'S A WILL...there's an assist. Tulsa's Will Conroy set a new league record by dishing out 20 assists at Sioux Falls on Saturday. Omar Cook held the previous record, handing out 19 for the Fayetteville Patriots vs. the North Charleston Lowgators on Feb. 8, 2002. Conroy is the first player in league history to score 20 points and dish 20 assists in a game.
THAT'S WHY: Continuing to prove why he was the first pick in the 2006 D-League Draft, Corsley Edwards put up his ninth straight double-double with 30 points and 12 rebounds against Albuquerque on Saturday. He is averaging 12.1 rebounds over his last 10 games.
CLAY NATION: Arkansas G Clay Tucker came up seven shy of the league record for points in a game with 42 at Fort Worth on Saturday.
DIJON MAKES FOUR: The Atlanta Hawks signed Albuquerque forward Dijon Thompson to a 10-day contract on Saturday, making him the fourth GATORADE Call-Up of the season.

THEY SAID IT: "He's just...a guy that's got an awful lot of weapons. They have to develop, don't get me wrong, but they're there. I can see them. From what I've seen skill-wise, he could have easily been a top 10 or 15 pick in the first round (instead of being undrafted in 2005)." ... Golden State coach Don Nelson told the Contra Costa Times about Kelenna Azubuike, who was called up from Fort Worth on Jan. 2.
