D.C. United News Release
Washington, D.C. (June 21, 2011) -D.C. United will run a two week-long camp at the RFK Training Grounds in Washington, DC as part of the club's 2011 Summer Camp schedule. Players will have the option of signing up for one week or the entire series. The camp, intended for players of all skill levels aged 7-17, runs 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. With the series repeating three times throughout the summer, players can either sign up for July 5-15 or July 25- August 5.
D.C. United's newly designed Summer Camp Series uses an age-appropriate training method led by top United instructors. Our summer camps have been strategically designed to maximize each individual athlete's technical proficiency and tactical understanding of the game in a fun and competitive environment.
Each training session will be a single progression within a two-week soccer series. The training sessions emphasize a precise balance between individual technique and team tactics, and the application of both within small-sided and 11-v-11 matches.
In addition, all participants will receive an official D.C. United camp ball, an official camp t-shirt, a ticket voucher to a D.C. United regular season home match and discount offers on United ticket packages.
Fees for the camp will be $350 for one week and $650 for a full series (two weeks). For more information regarding registration to the camp and curriculum, please visit the D.C.
