D.C. United Announces Playoff Ticketing Information

Washington, D.C. (October 21, 2009) - D.C. United announced today plans for potential home dates for the 2009 MLS Cup Playoffs. United currently sits in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 9-8-12 (39 points) and will qualify for the post-season with a win or draw Saturday night and favorable results in other League matches through the weekend. Details of United's playoff pursuit and ticketing information for potential playoff matches can be found at dcunited.com.

D.C. United plan holders are now able to add the first home playoff game to their 2009 ticket packages at discounted rates by utilizing their on-line account manager or by speaking directly with their sales account representative. As part of United's playoff promotion, fans are also able to purchase four Premium-level tickets to any home playoff game and receive a 40% off coupon for an authentic, home, long-sleeve United jersey for just $120. This offer, too, is available through D.C. United sales offices (202-587-5000) or at dcunited.com. Should United not qualify for post-season play, paid money can be applied to 2010 ticket packages or refunded. Youth plan holder rates are also available. If United advances further, more information on ticket packages will be available then.

Individual tickets to United's first round playoff game, if played, will be available immediately upon playoff qualification at four price levels: Spectator ($27), Premium ($35), VIP ($45) and Mezzanine ($60). Groups of 15 or more will get special discounted rates of $22 at the Spectator level, $30 at the Premium level, $40 at the VIP level and $50 at the Mezzanine level. Tickets are to be sold via dcunited.com and through all TicketMaster outlets.

The club has won four MLS Cup championships ('96. '97, '99 & '04), four Supporters' Shields ('97, '98, '06 & '07), a CONCACAF Champions Cup ('98), an InterAmerican Cup ('98) and two U.S. Open Cup titles ('96 & '08). United has made the playoffs nine of past 13 seasons, winning 15 of 20 playoff series, and has an overall record of 24-9-3 in all playoff games.
