
D.C. United And Washington Freedom To Play Double-Header

Washington, D.C. (February 23, 2010) - D.C. United, in conjunction with Washington Freedom and the DC Sports and Entertainment Commission, announced today the club is set to play a double-header on Saturday, May 1 at RFK Stadium. United is set to host the New York Red Bulls at 4:00 p.m. ET with Washington Freedom taking on St. Louis Athletica immediately following. In addition, United announced today that the start time to the club's game at Colorado October 2 has been re-set for 5:00 p.m. ET.
"United-Freedom double-headers provide a great opportunity for soccer fans to experience top flight men's and women's soccer in a single package," said United Executive Vice President Stephen Zack. "The Freedom remain a quality organization with a rich history and we're excited to continue to work with them."
Tickets for the double-header are now on sale via all TicketMaster outlets and via dcunited.com. Season ticket packages including full season, half season and flex ticket plans are still available at dcunited.com or by calling 202-587-5000. Upscale seating for full season plans - either club section, private or semi-private boxes, or field level seating - is also available and includes premium services such as meal service, complimentary parking and VIP access. Youth discounted pricing remains an option for United full season, half season and flex ticket packages.
Tickets to United's April 3 home opener are still available as part of the First Kick 4-pack. The package includes four tickets to the game against the New England Revolution and an autographed mini ball from one of three United stars - Chris Pontius, Troy Perkins or Christian Castillo. D.C. United kicks off its 2010 MLS season during FirstKick weekend at Kansas City against the Wizards on Saturday, March 27.
