MISSOULA, MONT. -- The Arizona Diamondbacks have named outfielder Chuck Taylor and pitcher Silvino Bracho as the Missoula Osprey's Player of the Month and Pitcher of the Month, respectively, for August.

Taylor hit .295 (31-105) in 26 games in August, with a home run, 12 RBIs, seven doubles and a triple.

He posted seven multi-hit games, including going 4-5 at Great Falls on August 11 and 4-6 against Grand Junction on August 13. Taylor scored 20 runs in the month.

Bracho solidified his status as one of the Pioneer League's top closers with four saves in nine appearances in August. The right-hander allowed two earned runs over 9.1 innings, walking two and striking out 13. The Pioneer League named Bracho an Honorable Mention All-Star last weekend.

Two former Osprey were named the Diamondbacks' organization -wide Player and Pitcher of the Month. Visalia Rawhide infielder Evan Marzilli - who played with Missoula last year - shares Player of the Month honors with Reno catcher Ed Easley. The Mobile BayBe ars' Archie Bradley - an Osprey in 2011 - is Pitcher of the Month.

Marzilli hit .333 (34-102) with three home runs, five doubles, three triples, 14 runs scored and 23 RBIs in 28 games for the Rawhide (Advanced Class A). He began the month with a 13-game hit streak from August 2-16, hitting .396 (19-48) with 5 multi-hit games, including a five-hit, five-RBI performance against Stockton on August 18.

Visalia has qualified for the California League playoffs and opens its post-season with a home game against Modesto tonight.

Bradley was a perfect 6-0 with a 1.24 ERA in six starts for Double-A Mobile. Over 36.1 innings, he struck out 36 and surrendered only five earned runs. Bradley allowed two runs or less in each of his six starts and his six wins tied for the most in August in all of Minor League Baseball.

Bradley's signature performance for the month came on August 2, when he threw a complete game six-hitter against Jackson, striking out seven. It was his second complete game of the season. Bradley beg an 2013 with Visalia, and has 14 victories and 162 strikeouts on the season overall. He's tied for the 3rd-most wins in MiLB and is 6th in strikeouts.

It's been quite a year for the former Osprey. Bradley has been named the Southern League's Most Outstanding Pitcher and a Southern League Mid-Season All-Star. He participated in the All-Star Futures Game in July and earned Pitcher of the Week honors three times - in the California League April 14, and in the Southern League on May 19 and August 5.

Bradley i s expected to be Mobile's Game 1 starter when the BayBears host Mississippi in the first round of the Southern League playoffs beginning tomorrow night.

The Diamondbacks have named current Osprey Sean Furney as their Arizona League Pitcher of the Month. The right-hander worked 32.1 innings in the AZL, with a 1.41 ERA, over six appearances in August. Furney struck out 37 batters over 32 innings and posted a 1.09 WHIP while limiting opponents to a .239 batting average.

The D-backs promoted Furney to Missoula on August 30.
