Cyclones Snag Playmaking Forward from Division-III School

August 11, 2006 - Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) - Twin City Cyclones News Release

Mark Richards, General Manager and Head Coach of the SPHL's Pee Dee Cyclones, is pleased to announce the addition of forward Drew Madeiros to the Cyclones' 2006-07 roster. Coach Richards is optimistic about Madeiros; "Drew has the potential to be a good set-up man for our high-powered offense. He averaged more than a point per game in a strong conference for a Division-III college. Drew seems to be excited about coming to the Pee Dee area and being a part of a team with strong veteran leadership."

Madeiros, who stands 6'-0" 200 lbs., hails from Tewksbury, Massachusetts, has played for Salem State University for the past four years. While there, Madeiros played in 101 games, putting up a total of 44 goals and 64 assists for 108 points.
