Cyclones Foiled Again, 6-2
The Cyclones returned to home ice on Thursday night looking to hand the Columbus Cottonmouths another loss. Unfortunately, Pee Dee was unable to stop the Cottonmouths' offensive onslaught.
The first period saw three goals from the Cottonmouths. Chris Rebernik was the only Cyclone to get on the board in the first, putting the score 3-1 at the end of the first.
Columbus got two more goals past Cyclones' netminder Brad Buss, widening the gap to 5-1 going into the third. The Cyclones soon pulled Buss to put in newcomer Len DiCostanzo.
Pee Dee finally put in another goal with a shot coming from Cyclones' newcomer Anthony Becker, but Columbus was able to get one more shot on the night, leaving the score 6-2.
The Cyclones will travel north to Richmond on Saturday to face the Renegades. The next Cyclones' home game will be on February 15th.
