
Cyclones Announce Trade with Barracudas

The Twin City Cyclones Professional Hockey Team of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) announces the acquisition of Jason Cassells from the Jacksonville Barracudas for Chris Rebernik. "We are hopeful about coming to terms with Jason," commented Mark Richards, Cyclones' Head Coach and General Manager. "He added a lot of speed to Jacksonville's line-up last season, so we are excited about the possibilities of Jason joining the Cyclones." Cassells, the 26 year old winger from Scarborough, Ontario, posted 41 points last season for the Barracudas. Before joining Jacksonville, the 5'-9", 180-pound Cassells spent three seasons in the United Hockey League (UHL) with the Bloomington Prairie Thunder, Elmira Jackals, and the Richmond Riverdogs. Rebernik added 47 points in his rookie season for the Cyclones (2006-2007). He was also a recepient of a "Sher-Wood Player of the Week Award" last season. The Twin City Cyclones will begin play in Winston-Salem, North Carolina this upcoming season at the LJVM-Coliseum Annex.
