San Jose CyberRays News Release
SAN JOSE (June 10, 2003) â CyberRays defender Dianne Alagich and goalkeeper LaKeysia Beene have been added to the 2003 Hyundai WUSA All-Star Game roster as reserves for the WUSA World Stars team.
Last week CyberRays defender Brandi Chastain and Brazilians Pretinha and Sissi were announced as All-Star starters based on balloting by fans, WUSA coaches and general managers, and a media panel. The game will be played at 4:30 p.m. PDT Thursday June 19 at SAS Stadium in Cary, N.C., home of the Carolina Courage, and televised on ESPN2
Alagich, of Australia, and Beene were chosen to the WUSA World Stars team by head coach Tom Stone and WUSA commissioner Tony DiCicco. Beene is a U.S. player but was named to the WUSA World Stars because of the shortage of foreign keepers in the league.
