Williamsport extended their winning streak to 5 games with a 2-0 win over Hudson Valley Monday night. RHP Luis Munoz (6-3) picked up the victory working 5.1 innings of no-hit baseball. He wound up pitching 6.2 innings and giving up 4 hits and no runs while striking out 4. The shutout was the Cutters fifth of the season. LF Jermel Lomack provided the offense for the Cutters going 2-for-3 with an RBI single in the 5th inning. Lowell dropped their game in Oneonta by a final score of 6-4. Combined with the Cutters victory, Williamsport now holds a 1 ý game lead over Lowell in the wild-card race and the magic number drops to 2. Williamsport hosts Hudson Valley again on Tuesday night while Lowell is in Oneonta.
