Curiel Named to MASL Team of the Week
January 10, 2017 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Cedar Rapids Rampage News Release
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA-The Major Arena Soccer League announced today that Cedar Rapids Rampage midfielder Angel Curiel was named to the league's Team of the Week.
Curiel had two goals in the Rampage's 7-5 loss to the Chicago Mustangs, which saw an end to the team's seven game winning streak. Curiel's second goal tied the game at 5-5 in the fourth quarter.
In his first season with the team, Curiel got off to a slow start points-wise with just one goal in his first seven games. Lately, however, Curiel has three two-goal games in his last four appearances. Not reflected on the scoresheet are the speedy midfielder's penchant for battling on the boards and digging out loose balls.
The Rampage will visit the Tacoma Stars in Kent, WA on Jaunary 13 and then return home for a double header weekend, January 20-21, against the defending Newman Cup champion Baltimore Blast and the Syracuse Silver Knights. Tickets are on sale starting at just $9 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or the U.S. Cellular Center box office.
