DENVER - The Arena Football League announced today that Colorado Crush fullback/ linebacker Robert Thomas was named the league's Ironman of the Week for Week 3 of the 2007 season.
THOMAS, (6-1, 252, Henderson St.) rushed for two touchdowns and recorded 3.5 tackles with one pass defensed in the Crush's, 56-54, victory over the Arizona Rattlers on Friday night. Thomas, in his fourth AFL season, leads the Crush in rushing (11 yards, three touchdowns) and is second on defense with 14.0 tackles and three pass break-ups.
The Colorado Crush head out for their first road game of the season for a Week 4 encounter with the Philadelphia Soul on Thursday, March 22nd. Colorado holds a 4-0 edge in the Rock vs. Jock battle of John Elway against Jon Bon Jovi. The Crush-Soul Thursday night contest will be televised on ESPN2 at 5:00 p.m. MT.
