Colorado Crush News Release

Denver, Colo. – Should he catch a touchdown pass vs. Las Vegas on Sunday, Colorado Crush offensive specialist DAMIAN HARRELL will set a new Arena Football League with his 42nd consecutive regular season game with a receiving touchdown. He is currently tied with former Albany Firebird "Touchdown" Eddie Brown with 41 consecutive games.

Harrell (6-3, 200, Florida State), currently in his seventh AFL season, began his streak during Week 12 of the 2002 season while he was playing for the now-defunct Toronto Phantoms. He caught a touchdown in the final three games of the 2002 season with Toronto and has a receiving touchdown in all 38 games he has played for the Crush.

During his streak, Harrell has had 22 games with at least three receiving touchdowns, 21 games with 100 or more receiving yards, and seven games with double-digit catches. He has been most productive against the Los Angeles Avengers over this stretch, totaling 27 catches for 420 yards and 14 touchdowns in just three games, an average of nine receptions, 140 yards and 4.7 touchdowns.

Brown, who also played under current Crush head coach Mike Dailey, caught a touchdown pass in 41 straight games from Week 3 of 1997 through Week 1 of 2000. Brown also owns the third longest streak, 33 games, spanning from 1994-1996.

The National Football League record for most consecutive games with a touchdown reception is 13 by Jerry Rice of the San Francisco 49ers from 1986-87. Only four players in NFL history have caught a touchdown in 10 straight games.
