Crush to participate in two community events

DENVER, Colo. -- The Colorado Crush and its players will be participating in two community activities on Monday, March 29 in an effort to promote literacy as well as good health and nutrition.

At approximately 10:45 a.m., players Kyle Moore-Brown, Kevin McKenzie, and Rashad Floyd will practice their burrito making skills when they serve lunch to students from Cherrelyn Elementary School (Englewood, Colo.) at Illegal Pete's, located at 1530 16th Street in Denver. The players will provide tips on how to eat healthy and maintain proper nutrition.

Later that afternoon, players Anthony Brenner and Ahmad Hawkins will partake in a story-telling session with students at Dora Moore School, located at 846 Corona in Denver, beginning at approximately 1:30 p.m. The players will read a story, answer questions, and sign autographs.

"We are very pleased to be getting involved in the lives of children in the community and advocate such important and worthwhile messages as literacy and health. We want every appearance to be educational but fun at the same time," said Crush President Ronald O. Sally.
