Colorado Crush News Release
DENVER - The 2005 ArenaBowl Champion Colorado Crush have promoted LUKE STAHMER to Director of Corporate Partnerships, the team announced. Stahmer has served in his previous capacity since his hiring in October 2002, when he was the third full-time front office employee hired by the organization prior to the team's inaugural season. Stahmer will continue to maintain his role as Director of Youth Football Development.
In the newly created position of Director of Corporate Partnerships, Stahmer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the team marketing, while developing new business and partnerships. Stahmer will continue to work closely with Crush Executive Vice President Michael Young. During Stahmer's tenure, the Crush have stayed at the forefront of the AFL in all aspects of marketing and promotion. Stahmer's first project was the development of the Crush Youth Football program. In just two seasons, the Colorado Crush Youth Football Program has received national acclaim and boasts over 12,000 children actively participating, including inaugural year donations exceeding $150,000 to the community.
"Luke has done a tremendous job in his previous capacity and was certainly an integral part of developing our championship team's brand and marketing strategies," said John Elway, Co-Owner and CEO, Colorado Crush. "I am sure that his enthusiasm, creativity and management skills will allow him to further enhance other areas of the Crush organization in his new position."
Stahmer is originally from Golden, Colorado. He earned bachelor's degree in Finance and Astrophysics from the University of Colorado, where he co-authored an award winning text book for the Leed's School of Business while teaching a freshman level core business class.
